Nice Nails- Nouvelle Mode Bubbles

Hi darlings, it's been a while since I have shared some of my nice nails with you, and if you don't follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I realize, you've been missing out! My new love:  essie polish!

Here's one of my latest creations, with essie 'Blanc' and magenta and orange bubbles. Looks so fresh and nouvelle mode, non?

Nice Nails- Hope Springs Eternal

It's been a while since I shared with you my nails designs. So I thought I would share this cute little number I called- Hope Springs Eternal!

With this long, cold winter just behind us, flowers are very slowly starting to come out. So to coax them along, I created this little flower design on my 'party finger'! Enjoy!

Nice Nails- Bright Baseballs

This one's for you Brent! My husband loves baseball, so I am calling this pattern 'Bright Baseballs'!

So for bright sunny days, I chose bright sunny colours. I love the way these colours just scream- look at me!

So here are the culprits. I love, love, love, love this Essie colour. 'E-nuf is E-nuf'. It's the perfect summer red.

Melanie and I do! Especially when it's OPI's little sister, Nicole... and on sale!

Melanie and I got to buy one colour each.  She chose 'She's Lily Something' from the Modern Family collection.

... and I got 'Spring Break' from the Selena Gomez collection.

So here is the finished product... Hot Pink Shimmer, one on top of the other... Nice Nails!

Nice Nails- Splash of Polka Dot

Don't you love it when your accessories match your watch?

 

Well, if you're a fashionista, you'd love this too! I took a 'tangerine' colour and put it on all my nails, but the ring finger... well, it got special treatment. I painted it a dark pink and put tangerine polka dots on top. To finish the look, just put on your matching watch! Oh, you know... I have a few of those inexpensive watches, one to suit my every mood LOL!

Nice Nails- Orange you glad I made this design

So I had seen this nifty idea on Pinterest, so I finally got the courage to just do it!

The first night you paint your nails in one colour- chose Zoya- hot pink colour. People at work think you've gone 'normal'.  And the next night, you go home and do some crazy 'stuff'. Take some tape and jagged craft scissors, cut a piece of tape and place it on each nail. So now you have a 'decal-like' stencil to paint your contrasting colour- another Zoya product-mac and cheese colour ( not the real name, just really looks like it).

Et voila, the final product... ok, it doesn't look as pretty as the images I saw, but I gave it my best shot. Maybe next time, stripes!

Nice Nails - Bikini so Teeny

Well, I finally found a bikini that fits!

LOL, well, it's a nail polish colour that I saw last summer on a friend's nails and I have been looking for it ever since... finally this spring I found it at Walmart... of all places! Anyways, the it's like a periwinkle blue, you know the colour of forget-me-not flowers. So of course, I had to add a flower on one of my nails.

Did I ever mention how I love nail polish names... that's a job I would love, naming colours!

Nice Nails- Bahama Mama

Time to have some fun with nails again. Really it's my new love for this brand of polish called essie. It's really a good brand that is 'good' for your nails too. The colour are bold and vibrant or soft and gentle... what ever flavour you are interested in.

Well, this is what I did... this fun colour is called Bahama Mama so I lacquered it on and you know I can't just have 'plain' nails, I have to 'jazzify' it up, so this time, I opted for sparkly gold tips. What do you think?

Nice Nails- Spring Polka Dots

Oooooooh, I love pastels! And this spring I decided to pastel it down on my nails.

 Found these lovely colours and dotted on some white polka dots.

 Aren't these cute???? Well, I just had to, right, 4 for $10 at Garage. Yes.... my daughter made me go into that store on the last trip to the mall and I saw these in a big jar, just like colourful candies... how a propos that they are called 'nail candy'. Love it!

Nice Nails- Spring has Spung!

That's right! Spring has Sprung on my nails!

 

I saw this beautiful design on Pinterest and thought I would try it on for Spring.

 

These are the fantastic colours I used.

 This was a new colour I had to buy to make the whole look happen. It's so blue.... it's called Mesmerize. I LOVE it!

 You do have to wait a bit for each layer to dry, but it's worth it! Dark Fuchsia and orange designs..

 Then highlight with white dots and green flower stems. So there you have it... Spring has Sprung!

I know, I promised myself I wouldn't buy any new nail polish colours, but I was going through nail polish winter fashion withdrawal.... I succumbed...

 

I bought this deliciously dark brown.red.burgundy... Loved it! Thanks L'Oreal, Haute Couture is Hot !

Nice Nails- Dark Orange Cloud

What, ya, I know... a little crazy! I have to share all my styles, the good, the bad, the ugly. The inspiration was a sparkly dark silver shirt I had to wear for a party. I wanted to have the sparkling dark silver polish and decided to mix it up with a bit of colour.

After this experiment, I decided I don't like orange on me unless it's summer and my skin is golden brown. I prefer the cool tones. I am, after all, a 'Winter'. Remember that? I got my 'Colours' done way back in high school and it was determined that I was a winter, cool tones look good on me, washed out fall colours... not so much.

You like? I saw this idea in my December InStyle Magazine. It's perfectly uneven but you know I love stripes and I gave it a shot... maybe the greens next????

Nice Nails- Christmas Sparkle

Thought I would share with you some of the designs I wore during the Holidays. I call it Christmas Sparkle. I took a green and red shimmery polish and alternated the colours and then added a top coat of clear glitter nail polish. I tell you, everything is better with glitter!

Well, I never thought I would wear blue nail polish, but this looked sexy for sure.... and daring!

Blue with neon green racing stripes or tire tracks, whatever you want to call them...

 ... and then the pinky in a colour called "Carribean Frost", love it!

But you seriously have to love this nail colour's name. Skin Tight Denim!

Nice Nails- Fearless Fog

With the fall weather and those foggy rainy days, I thought I would share with you a weather-inspired nail creation.

The actual name of this Sally Hansen is Fearless Fog, it's just perfect for hurricane season! Thank you Sandy! Of course, I couldn't just leave my nails plain, I had to add some rockstar sparkle on the tips in a cascading shape!

This is was my Halloween Costume. Halloween socks and scary spooky nails.

I painted my nails orange and then put a top coat of black crackle. Spooky and gross don't you think???

This is seriously my favourite nail design ever! I call it Fuchsia and Dots Galore. I love dots and using these multiple colours was so much fun....imagine the possibilities with so many nail polish colours out there in the world!!!!
