Tea Party- New Toronto Digs

I know, I know, I have to hurry up and post these pictures about our Christmas-time fun before the end of January or you guys will think I am such a slacker!!! But hey, let me tell you I am not a slacker, I am an over-sharer! I have to share so much with you that it takes me a while to catch up!

My friends the St.Germain's moved recently to a new century home filled with charm, high ceilings and a little backyard with green grass (well, I think, it was kinda snow-covered)- which is a great bonus living in Toronto.
During the Holidays, we were invited for a little tea party. It was festive and fun, light and bright and full of amazing new things... I love going to someone's new home and going for the 'TOUR' and hearing about all the details they are planning for decorating. Jenny and Szos served some lovely tea and accompaniments and these amazing Christmas plates. They just knocked my socks! A plate for each of the days of Christmas. I got the '4 calling birds'. Loved them!

Here's the little cookie monster loving my big soft ginger cookies... her fave!  She got the 11th day of Christmas plate.
The gorgeous family in front of their Christmas tree. So sweet and full of love, it just oozes out of them and splats on their funky Christmas tree adorned with records, octopus and zebra stripped ribbon. I just love their style!

Loveliest of them all was this little gem of a jar filled with delicious homemade pesto. Such a precious and dear family. Thank you!

Christmas Time Tea Party

Oh, what a pleasure together with our dearest friends for a delightful Christmas Tea Party!

So here we are around the Holiday Table with Holiday Treats...
Check this out... healthy organic whipped cream cheese topped with organic raspberry jam, homemade red pepper jelly and mango jalapeno jelly. You dip your cracker, or these delicious Blue Menu Honey Wheat pretzels.
Ok, it's Christmas time, I had to celebrate with some delicious homemade cookies, scones and brownies....
I did make some healthy stuff too. This Pampered Chef specialty- Pineapple Salsa, yum, yum, yum!
We wore our Pashminas....
... A star was born...
And we ended it all with a big squishy girl party on the couch! So much love on that thing!

Tea for Five and Giggles

So check it out.... we were supposed to have a 'picnic' tea party, but since the weather did not cooperate, we had a Tea Party for Five indoors. As usual, a blast was had by all five of us with love and giggles abound!
Here's pretty jenny with the most beautiful smile!

And what about Georgia...loving her cracker- I love her smirk... but the best is Szos in the background with a pink unicorn attached to his hat- don't you think?

Here's my tea party buffet. Since we were supposed to have a picnic outdoors, I decided that we could instead have a picnic indoors with the best tablecloth, and fun plastic dishes ever.

Here's a closeup of my tray. Crackers (see below), organic extra old white cheddar (which-if you read this blog you know- was polished off by Mella and Jenny mostly), and those morning glory cookies I blogged about a few days ago.

Here's some delicious organic crackers I picked up at the Organic Garage.

And of course.... all the tea choices!

Close up of my berries!

Close up of my almonds.

Close up of my trail mix with banana chips.

Close up of my pistachios.

Close up of my dark chocolate covered blueberry and acai berries.

Here come the giggles now.... We took the kitchen party to the living room and we had some great bonding time with everyone...

But especially with Mella and Georgia.... oh the LOVE!

So relaxing and filled with moments of tea, love and unicorns.

Brent feeling the moment...
but here is my favourite closeup... Brent's is really feeling the moment of love!

Tea Party... Downtown Style

I am pleased to share some great photos of our latest tea party.  This time Jenny, Szos and Georgia invited us to their home in Toronto. We were so excited to try a new location... and catch up of course.
We walked up to the 4th floor in an old historic home in Toronto's West End and were overwhelmed with love and beauty when they opened the door and greeted us, it was like wild butterflies were let out and were spreading their wings to welcome us. I don't think I have ever felt more welcomed or loved into someone's home. You guys really are truly special friends for life! SFFL, I just made that up!

Here's the spread... berries, homemade dark chocolate bark, organic white extra old cheddar cheese (yes, I had to police it for Melanie... again- she can't get enough of it), organic crackers, carrots and humus. Oh, and the host and hostess with the mostess posing like goofy maniacs... Szos and Jenny.

And the 'piece de resistance'... Szos' Guacamole, which was so delicious, I already shared the recipe with you last week.
Here are our girls with their 'fashionista flowers' in their hair.

The tea, which is hand made by Jenny's friend Claudia, who's recipe of the Spirit Balls I shared with you. Check out how she does it... http://franlife.blogspot.ca/2006/12/recipe-green-chai-tea.html

Can you feel the love!

Look at the view outside their living room windows... right into Lake Ontario and the big beautiful sky!

Jenny's bark, adapted from the recipe I posted, except she used walnuts and dried cherries. I think I loved it even more than mine!

Here is Szos taking a picture of Jenny and I.

The best thing was that after our tea party, he emailed me the photos he took. We asked him to take a nice photo of us... the funniest thing is that he captured more than just a pretty smile (last picture), he captured the way we interact with each other, our laughter, our goofyness, our love... all the different parts of our friendship. Thanks Szos, you are such a cool dude!

Live, Laugh, Love... The End!

We hosted our little Tea Party and Dance Party Extravaganza with my friend Jenny and her family and boy did we enjoy the food bits (they brought some 'Spirit Balls'- recipe to come), lots of talking tidbits and the dancing was just Fabulous!!! With a Capital F for Fun!

Here's a panoramic view of spread with all the food and teas you could imagine... and there's Melanie in the background sitting and knitting in front of the iPod dock listening to the music before our friends arrived.

Some lovely Rainforest Crisps, Ace Bakery raisin and walnut crackers, salt free rice crackers, whole wheat baguette.

Some extra old sharp white cheddar cheese that Melanie and Jenny inhaled, they did leave a few pieces for the rest of us.

Some homemade Coffee Cake mini muffins and Cranberry Walnut scones (I have shared those recipes with you before).

Some homemade Dark Chocolate Pistachio, Almond and Cranberry Bark (I have also shared this recipe with you before).

Delicious Berries.
