A Little Grain Storage Solution
This, my friends, is another organized living solution that I wanted to share with you. With the new year comes new beginnings. So keeping things organized is what I love to do!
Here's what you need to do. Head to your favourite Dollarama- they have really great deals on storage solutions. These large class cylinders are only $2 each. Then grab your grains, fill your containers.... but wait.....
If you don't have the bags, how long do you cook stuff for, right??? So what you do then is write the directions on a little piece of paper that you tape inside the lid... oh, my Dad would be so proud.... he loves this stuff.

Time Efficiencies- Necessity for busy Families
How awesome is my husband Brent??? He created this gorgeous time-saving grocery list for our family! I love him!!!!
He is the grocery shopper for our family and he decided it was time to get organized! He visited the the website grocerylists.org and bam! He created the HALLIDAY GROCERY LIST! Fantastic eh!
Here's a close up for you. See you can create the list the way your store is laid out and then create items you usually shop for. Brent Halliday is a Grocery Shopping God!
As part of this getting organized with various time efficiencies, I wanted to share with you what getting organized to help your little sister who just had her 2nd baby. I went to the Dollarama and got some aluminium containers and made her and her family some of their favourites.... times 6.
Some Pate Chinois (sheppard's pies) and baked pasta.
When you are organized, you get all your ingredients ready (like the same ground beef for both recipes) and you just make an assembly line.
Top them with their respective toppers (one for us of course) and then...
Place the lids on and get your big back sharpie and label what's inside, you could even write the heating instructions (which I should have done since my sister called me anyway for advice) LOL!
...and remember why you do all you do.... LOVE!

Organizing your Stuff- Kitchen Style
Some people call this, 'Porn for Girls'.... I know I get so inspired when I see photos like this, and when I saw my friend Nancy's reaction when I showed her, she immediately said... 'oohhh, I am going to go home and do this, you've inspired me!' I swear she really said that.
BEFORE:
So what inspired me was these containers that were giving to my colleague Joan who was moving away (as well as all the posts on Pinterest). They are the white lid containers on the left. Look at the rest of the shelf, little baskets with rolled up bags of random ingredients and baking stuff.
AFTER:
Here is the new and improved shelf. I just can't believe what a simple little change can make. I bought these little blue-lidded containers at Dollarama- 3 for $1.00 - big spender eh???? But seriously, my ingredients don't care if they are in a $0.33 container or a $10.00 container. I put my nuts, dried fruits, seeds etc. in these and I just love being able to see what ingredients I have... it inspires me to create.
